Research Interests:
 Dr. Stapley’s research and teaching interests focus generally on international relations and security, and on terrorism and non-governmental organizations specifically.

Master of Public Administration (2001) University of Oklahoma, and Ph.D. (2004) University of Oklahoma in Political Science.  Professor Stapley is a visiting assistant professor in political science at Kansas State University.  He has completed research that will be appearing in Contemporary Security Studies (2006).  He is also contributor to the book The Handbook of Security (2005).  He is currently completing a book manuscript on terrorist targeting of non-governmental organizations, working on various articles on terrorism and small arms, and completing other papers on disaster management.  Dr. Stapley has also published book reviews in APSA’s Legislative Studies Section Newsletter and has presented conference papers on the rally affect and terrorism.
